Great Places to shoot in the Mayan Riviera - Mexico

I Hi ! Some suggestions to make a great photo album...

As you know the Mayan Riviera is one of the most beautiful places to shoot a Photo Session, especially for your Wedding. It is important to remember that the Riviera is a very large place, the whole coast has very nice spots ranging from Cancún (north side) to Playa del Carmen & Tulum (in the south). Another nice spot is the National Park Siaan Ka'an as well as many other places that can be visited in the Mexican Caribbean.

1. Akumal Beach is a great option, it's near by Playa del Carmen and there's easy access to various nature scenarios.

2. Cenotes (Caves) can be found all along the coast and jungle, with over 160 kilometers of underground rivers. You will find great spots for adding different concepts to your pictures. "Dos Ojos" and "Cenote Azul" are some of the most popular cenotes.

3. Downtown Playa del Carmen is a nice option with all you can possibly need in the center of the city. There's also a large beach and an iconic lighthouse which reminds people of how Playa del Carmen used to be a fisher town.

Regards.

Kantun Chi ecopark is home to several cenotes. Currently four are available for swimming, snorkeling, or just admiring. In order to protect the fish and other wildlife that make the cenote their home, the use of any kind of oil or water-based sun block or lotions is not allowed :

Kantun Chi: This cenote is your first one to be at in your visit in the park, here you`ll have a swimming sorrounded by lovly tropical gardens.

Sas ka leen Ha: From four cenotes in the park this is the biggest. its name means “ transparent water”. in the second one you`ll find small shirine. probably a place where the old mayan inhabitants had purification ceremonies.

Uchil Ha or "ancient" water": This sky open cenote with colorfull fish. here you are bound to snorkel find lounge in “ hammock`s island” the personal will wait on you, will attent you.

Zacil Ha: This beautiful cenote meaning “ clear water” has natural sky windows, throughout its lime stone ceiling. here you explore discovering natural shapes built through out millenniums.

Isla Mujeres is the ideal place for a truly relaxing vacation and a place to make new friends among the local people, the warm and friendly descendants of the original Mayans; like our guests, they are blessed with the easy-going lifestyle of the island.

Here you’ll find the perfect vacation place for all ages, located only 20 minutes by boat from Cancun, the island is only 5 miles long and ½ mile wide, in the colorful downtown area you will find interesting restaurants, gift shops and other activities that you can enjoy: Bicycle riding, yoga, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayak, fishing, golf cars riding and visiting the turtle farm, you can also swim with the dolphins and sharks, or get a relaxing massage.

The island got its name from the Spaniards who landed here in the 17th century, they found hundreds of female figurines and a temple dedicated to the goddess Ixchel stood for centuries at southern tip. The island has been continuously inhabited by Mayans, and Maya is still the first language for many islanders.
